Tuesday P. Brooks, MBA is a business owner, educator, trusted tax & accounting advisor, and proud US veteran. Her roles with a housing advocacy organization, boutique CPA tax firm, and private equity investment firm precipitated the launch of a financial management firm of her own in 2009. Her company, AJOY, is committed to improving the profitability of micro and small business enterprises in order for them to flourish and thrive.

As the principal of AJOY and a fellow small business owner, Tuesday understands the challenge of sustaining healthy cash flow and building capacity. As a business manager, private accountant, and public notary, she knows that prosperity is possible when we manage our finances well for individual

businesses and the wider community and economy. She’s made it her mission to support independent contractors, entrepreneurs, and small business owners like you in achieving that financial and business success.

Commitment to Education & Community

Tuesday’s vision is to be a catalyst for the growth of financially sound womxn-led companies that employ across the US. As such, she works tirelessly providing direction to aspiring entrepreneurs on how to start and grow. Her keen knowledge around accounting for small business makes bookkeeping, tax compliance, credit readiness, and cash flow management accessible to early-stage business owners and non-profit founders. 

Tuesday has educated more than 3,500 aspiring entrepreneurs and has developed strong relationships with community-based organizations and government agencies that provide technical assistance to entrepreneurs and freelancers primarily through one-to-one coaching, workshops, and business curriculum development. Tuesday is a frequently sought panel presenter and workshop facilitator and has been honored multiple years as a Best For New York Changemaker. Tuesday is currently a mentor with MicroMentor.org and BE NYC Mentors programs and teaches financial literacy to young adults through school programs and internships at her firm. She sits on the board of several community-based organizations that promote arts or education. Tuesday is a Business Advisor for the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women - OMBW: Black in Business program.

Tuesday holds a Master of Business Administration from Metropolitan College of New York in Media Management, Master of Arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Binghamton University.

Her financial management firm, AJOY, specializes in ventures in media, sports, arts, entertainment, beauty, fashion, wellness, and professional services. AJOY is certified M/WBE, DBE, SBE, EBE, EDWOSB, and SDVOSB and provides technical assistance to business owners seeking to successfully attain certification for their company as well.

AJOY is an official supplier to Intuit to provide Quickbooks Online training as part of the 1 Million Black Businesses Initiative powered by Operation Hope and Shopify.

In addition to holding an MBA, MA, and BA, being a business owner, an educator and board member. Tuesday is also a former commercial actress and model, served in the US Army, is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and is a native New Yorker who enjoys physical fitness, dancing, live music, and boating.
